Postpartum & Lactation Services

  • What is a Postpartum Lactation Specialist

A postpartum & lactation specialist exists to serve you during your transition after birth, from those early days of caring for & feeding a newborn to the end of the fourth trimester, & beyond. The role of a postpartum doula is to assist you however you need most - whether it be providing space & care needed to help you heal & bond with your new baby, tending to baby, or helping carry some of the load around the house.

  • Who Needs Postpartum Care

All mothers could benefit from more focused care during the postpartum period, whether it’s their first or their seventh baby. Giving birth to a new life is wonderful & life-changing, bringing with it new responsibilities and challenges. Having increased support during this time to help meet physical & emotional needs sets the mother & her family up for success earlier on!

  • What Makes Me Different from Other Postpartum Doulas

As your postpartum doula & lactation consultant, my goal is not only to see your immediate needs met, but to set you up for long-term thriving, physically, mentally & spiritually. I believe the key to serving you well is by infusing my work with “tender love, mercies, compassion” through the Holy Spirit. I also bring a wide range of personal experience with me from my own four unique & beautiful births & postpartum & breastfeeding seasons.

  • What is My Role as Your Postpartum Lactation Specialist

My role would include (but not be limited to!) some of the following:

Nurturing you as the mother & guarding space for you to bond with your baby

Empowering you to use your innate mothering abilities, & encouraging the father to take on his important role in parenting

    Providing relaxation skills

Assisting with light house work, meals, shopping, managing visitors, tending to siblings

    Providing lactation support & education

Helping you navigate emotions, concerns, questions

    and so much more!
