Hey, friend!

I’m grateful you’re here! My name is Amber and I’m a postpartum doula (and soon to be lactation consultant!) serving in the greater Charlotte area. I’m married to the sweetest man, Victor, and we have four little wildlings. I love Jesus deeply and I’m privileged to steward my precious family and this calling of being a wife, a mother, a woman.

Following Jesus Christ means my ultimate calling is to serve - did you know the greek term for “doula” means “a woman who serves”? As I am working towards certification through A Woman Who Serves doula training, it is my joy and honor to pour myself into serving mothers as others have served me throughout each of my four pregnancies, births, and postpartum seasons.

Equally special in their own ways, every one our children’s pregnancies and births were very different, giving me a wide range of experience. Our first was born in a hospital, on my back, with an epidural. Our second also in a hospital, but this time with most labor taking place at home (and in the car - whew!) and through natural pushing, again on my back, in the delivery room. When our third came along, we were led to step in faith and pursue a home birth - and he was born at home, comfortably lying on my side, with the assistance of midwives. Our fourth was also born at home, in a birth pool, assisted by my midwife team with gentleness and ease. And I grateful for the gift of having been able to exclusively breastfeed every one of them.

Oh friend, if only I had enough space to share with you all the details of each pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum experience here! What I will share and emphasize is this: my own experiences awakened a deep-rooted passion and calling to not only equip other women in their God-designed abilities in childbearing, but to be a source of education and support in the most vulnerable and life-changing, yet often overlooked, season a woman may ever walk through: postpartum.

It would be my joy and honor to care for you - to serve you - as you navigate the transition of motherhood.
